Highly Durable Labels
Whether you’re looking for high-temperature labels, chemical-resistant labels or abrasion-resistant labels, our highly durable label solutions will fit your needs.
Durable Solutions for Tough Environments
You can count on Anglia Labels for your labelling solutions in harsh or demanding environments. Heavy-duty labels provide high levels of durability, toughness and resistance that conventional labels simply can’t.
What are Highly Durable Labels?
Highly durable labels are labels designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions and heavy-duty use. These labels are made with specialised materials and adhesives so that they can adhere to and resist extreme temperatures, intense UV rays, moisture, chemicals, and rough surfaces.
Tough Labels for multiple heavy-duty applications
Highly durable labels are strong and versatile, and can be made to suit a wide range of applications which in our experience include:
- Industrial manufacturing
- Chemical and oil refinement
- Construction
- Automotive equipment
- Electronics and technology
- Agricultural and outdoor environments
The Benefits of Highly Durable Labels
Selecting a highly durable label will provide many advantages over traditional labels, such as:
Longevity
Durable labels last a long time, minimising the need for frequent replacement. The durability and longevity of these labels create long-lasting and cost-effective solutions for your labelling needs.
Resistance to harsh environments
Highly durable labels are designed to endure challenging environments, such as extreme heat, cold, UV rays, and moisture, without degrading or losing their readability.
Enhanced safety and compliance
Highly durable labels will often be made to meet industry-specific safety and compliance regulations. They can include warning labels, caution labels as well as identification labels. At Anglia Labels we will customise your labels to ensure your regulatory needs are met.
Technical Considerations of Highly Durable Labels
Deciphering the right labelling solution can be tricky, but here are some factors to consider when putting the specification together for your label:
- The surface material and environment where the label will be affixed
- The type of adhesive required for your labelling solution
- The size, shape, and text that your label will require
What goes into a highly durable label?
Material
The material has a huge impact on the durability of a label. A filmic material such as Polypropylene (PP) will be far more durable and particularly waterproof than paper. Specialist filmic materials such as PET can withstand exposure to extremely high temperatures as well as chemicals, oils, and solvents.
Adhesive
The adhesive, if selected carefully, will also add an extra layer of durability to the label. High-tack adhesives will provide strong bonding capability to ensure that the label adheres firmly to various surfaces, even under challenging conditions like temperature fluctuations, humidity, or mechanical stress.
Ink
The ink used for printing labels will also support their durability. At Anglia Labels our digital inks have excellent colourfastness and resist fading when exposed to sunlight or other sources of UV radiation. We also supply inks that are scratch proof.
Finish
Applying a protective coating or lamination over the label can enhance its durability by providing resistance to scratches, abrasion, and fading. This coating can also offer additional protection against chemicals, UV radiation and weather conditions without deteriorating or compromising the label’s legibility and adhesion.
